Our big little girl turns four today! It's hard to believe that I am the mother to a four-year-old and a one-week-old! We've already had Jordan's birthday party but we couldn't NOT celebrate the day so we took cupcakes to her class today at lunchtime. Jordan was so excited to show off her baby sister and the kids were just happy to see cupcakes!
I'm so happy that Kenneth is off this week, too...it's making it easier to get the rest I need but still do the fun things like this that I want to do!

gymnastics!
Tonight was Jordan's first gymnastics class at The Little Gym. Kenneth took her since I'm still a little slow to get around. He texted me the play by play and it was almost like I was there! :)
She thoroughly enjoyed the class and is looking forward to next week.

first trip out
Today we went to the doctor to check on Kylie's jaundice. She's still pretty yellow, but Dr. Stoeber is not worried enough to draw blood to check it. She's putting on weight, too, and is up to 6lbs 6oz. It was our first trip out as a family of four and Jordan enjoyed bragging about being the big sister to our favorite doc!

going home!
We are taking Kylie home today! She is fairly jaundiced but we will go to the doctor Saturday for a check. She has lost a little weight--down to 6lbs 3oz. but is getting the hang of latching on to nurse so I'm not too worried.
We've been so lucky and are thankful for all the help we've received this week. Mimi (Patty) picked up Jordan Monday afternoon, fed her and brought her to meet her sister. Kenneth's parents stayed at the house with Jordan and the dogs Monday and Tuesday night. They took Jordan to school, picked her up, brought her to the hospital and even left a meal for us in the fridge! One of Kenneth's co-workers had a cooler full of Scratch food delivered for us, too. We won't have to worry about food for a while!

Kylie Michelle is here!
After much anticipation we learned this afternoon that we have another girl in the Manning family! Kylie Michelle arrived weighing 6lbs 10.2oz measuring 19 3/4 inches long...almost identical to her sister. Kylie has almost a full head of hair and looks a lot like Jordan did when she was born.
We are all thrilled that this sweet bundle is here! Kenneth can be heard in the video saying "YESSSS!!" just after Dr. Bailey announced "It's a girl!". When Jordan met her sister for the first time she said "I told you!".

Jordan-ism
When I picked up Jordan from school yesterday, her afternoon teacher, Mrs. Holly, told me that Jordan had been talking a lot about the baby. Jordan told everyone that her baby sister was going to sleep in her room and be called "Gummy"! I hadn't heard that news yet, so I was quite amused...
